Day 1
You are welcomed aboard our unique, air-conditioned bus for departure from West Beach at 7.30am, We travel along Highway 1 to Port Wakefield with it’s sea faring atmosphere, for morning tea, then head down Yorke Peninsula to Port Clinton and the salt pan area of Price . Ardrossan, with excellent views of St Vincent Gulf, provides an ideal backdrop for lunch, after which we continue through Pine Point, and Port Julia to the timber covered cliffs of Port Vincent. The lime mining towns of Stansbury and Wool Bay provide further interest before arriving at Edithburgh for our overnight stop.

Day 2
After breakfast, we take a scenic drive to Troubridge point, the Clan Ranald anchor and Suicide Point before visiting Marion Bay, Stenhouse Bay and Innes National Park - a coastal Reserve comprising nearly 10,000 hectares of natural bushland and representing one of only a few pockets of significant vegetation on the peninsula. Points of interest here include Cable Bay, Cape Spencer, the historic site of Inneston and Pondalowie Bay. The remains of around 40 shipwrecks lie in this area. After lunch in the Park, we head up the western side of the foot of the Peninsula to Corny Point, Galway Bay and Point Turton , Warooka and Yorketown.

Day 3
Travelling up the Peninsula we visit Brentwood, Minlaton and Urania. At the geographical centre of the Peninsula is Maitland, which we pass through on our way to Moonta and Wallaroo. The heritage trail continues at Kadina where we visit the Banking and Currency Museum for a nostalgic look at Australia’s Banking industry housed within Kadina’s oldest surviving bank building.
Overnight: Sonbern Lodge Motel – Wallaroo

Day 3
We visit the pleasant seaside town of Pt Broughton, then “hit the trail” and head through the towns of Snowtown and Blyth to the Clare Valley.

The heritage trail continues after lunch as we pass through Watervale and Auburn - birth place of the poet C J Dennis.

We return through Tarlee and the Gawler by-pass, arriving in Adelaide approximately 5.30pm.

TRAVEL ROUTINE
Tours Depart 4 Southern Avenue West Beach at 7.30am Off street parking is available. After morning departures at 7.30am, we take a break at around 10.30am and stop for lunch between 12.00-1.00pm, and an afternoon break approximately 3.00pm. Other stops are taken for photos, exploring and recreation.

MEDICAL
We carry a comprehensive First Aid kit, and have an accredited Senior First Aid staff member on hand on all tours.

WHAT YOUR FARE INCLUDES
All meals from start to finish and hotel accommodation (twin share). (Alcoholic drinks are not included). Entry fees to the Banking and Currency Museum Kadina.
Innes National Park

TOUR VEHICLE
Travel is in an air-conditioned, purpose built, fully equipped 6 WD bus. For your safety we carry an HF Radio with Royal Flying Doctor frequencies. This radio can be used for urgent telephone calls if the need arises.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING
Comfortable casual clothes, for warm to hot days, and cool to cold nights, stout comfortable shoes, and hat. (People often bring more clothes than they use, so consider carefully, and keep your baggage to a minimum), a camera, with plenty of film and a torch. This tour explores the heritage significance of many of the historic places and buildings in towns on the Yorke Peninsula of South Australia.

The history, combined with the cultural contrasts of farming, mining, fishing and wine growing is drawn together in a relaxing, informative and scenic experience.
